The story of our trees

• Christmas trees start our lives as humble seeds, hand-picked from specially managed forests. Then, for the next three to four years, they are meticulously cared for in the nursery. When our young trees are strong enough, they are placed in vast outdoor plantations where they are closely cared for and monitored for another three to seven years.
• Once they reach their ideal size, the trees are safely cut down, cleaned and reared, so they have a safe trip to their local B&Q store. Our Christmas trees, whether in pots or cuttings, are sourced responsibly as part of our work with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), the Forest Certification Program (PEFC™) and the Forest Trust (TFT).
• From seed to your home, every part of our Christmas tree story is taken into account. Read more about our commitment to forest-friendly wood.
