How to Apply for Sassa grant through Govchat App?

The first requirement is to apply only once. You can use any of the sites to apply for your SASSA grant but it should be only one application. Here are some of the steps you must follow to apply for the grant through the SASSA website.

• Browse https://govchat.app/home.
• Once the link above open you will be to the login page where you have to login via a phone number.
• You will receive a four-digit code on your phone; you need to enter that code here.
• Close the pop-up for medical assessment if you do not want to take it.
• From here go to the SASSA grant page. Click on the tab which indicates to apply for a grant. Select the social relief distress grant.
• You will again see a pop-up asking you to enter the Whatsapp generated reference number and after that by clicking on Get Form. If you don’t have it, click on create a new form.
• The reference number would be generated which can be used to track application forms.

• Name and Surname as captured in the Identity Document
• Gender and Disability

• Residential Address
