NMU Student Email;- Student Email is given to all students upon admission to the NMMU. If you access your Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University email, below are the basic tips to help you through.

The Nelson Mandela University (NMU) uses Office 365, which is uniformly used by most institutions of higher education.

To access the university’s statement on how to access student emails, click here.

To access emails, students need to go to https://outlook.office.com

Type out your username: [email protected]  (i.e. your student [email protected]).

You will then be directed to a Nelson Mandela University login screen.

Once you are on the NMU login screen fill in both your username and password on the empty fields.

Example: Username: [email protected] (i.e. your student number @mandela.ac.za).

While the student number is generated by the institution, the student’s password is either one that was set up by the student or that was given to the student.

How to access Office 365 e-mail off-campus

Step 1:
Go to: https://outlook.office.com

Step 2:
Username: [email protected] (i.e. your student number @mandela.ac.za)

Step 3:
You will be directed to a Nelson Mandela University logon screen.

Step 4:
Enter your Username: your student number @mandela.ac.za (eg. [email protected])

Step 5:
Enter your Password: network password that you set yourself or that was given to you.
